Have you heard about the huge April upslope storm hitting Colorado? It’s crazy! Basically, the state is about to be hit with a ton of snow and rain. We’re talking about feet of snow and inches of rain. It’s going to be a real mess.
From what I read, the storm is going to start this Friday and continue through the weekend. It’s going to hit hardest in the central and southern parts of the state, which means there’s going to be a ton of snow in places like Breckenridge, Aspen, and Vail. But it’s not just snow- there’s going to be a lot of rain in the eastern parts of Colorado too. So, we’re looking at potential flooding and other issues.
As someone who has lived in Colorado for a while, I know how these storms can be. They can completely shut down roads and make it impossible to get around. But on the other hand, they can also be a lot of fun. I remember one time when I was in college, we had a huge storm like this and ended up having a snowball fight in the quad.
All that said, it’s important to take this storm seriously. Make sure you’re prepared if you’re in Colorado, and stay safe. Overall, it’s a reminder of just how unpredictable and extreme weather can be, and how we need to be prepared for anything.
