I just read this article about Bridger Aerospace, and it’s pretty amazing! They sent a bunch of planes and firefighters up to Canada to help fight the wildfires that are raging there right now.
Basically, Bridger Aerospace is a company that specializes in using planes to fight fires. They’ve got a fleet of specially-equipped aircraft that can drop huge amounts of water or fire retardant in a single pass. And when they heard that there were fires burning out of control in Canada, they decided to step up and do something about it.
So they loaded up a bunch of their planes with firefighters and headed north. Once they got there, they teamed up with the Canadian government and local firefighting crews to help battle the blazes. And judging from the pictures in the article, they’re doing a pretty darn good job!
Now, I’ve never fought a wildfire in my life (thank goodness), but I can imagine how intense and terrifying it must be. I have a lot of respect for anyone who works in that field, and it’s really heartening to see companies like Bridger Aerospace doing their part to help out.
Overall, I think this article is a great reminder of the power of people coming together in times of crisis. Sure, Bridger Aerospace is a for-profit business, but they’re using their resources to do something good and make a real difference. In a world that can often feel pretty bleak, stories like this are what give me hope.
