Clendenin, West Virginia, celebrates rebuilding community 7 years after devastating floods

So, I read this super interesting article about Clendenin, West Virginia that I wanted to share with you. Basically, the town was hit with some really devastating floods about seven years ago that wiped out entire neighborhoods and businesses. But the cool thing is that the community has come together to rebuild and celebrate their progress.

From what I gathered, the townspeople have been working hard to not only rebuild homes and storefronts, but also to create a stronger sense of community through events like a Halloween parade, a farmers market, and a summer concert series. It’s amazing to see the resilience and determination of these people who refused to let a natural disaster define their town.

I actually visited Clendenin a few years ago and it was clear that the floods had left a significant impact. But even then, you could sense a strong sense of pride and togetherness among the folks who lived there. It’s truly inspiring to see their progress and how they’ve turned a tragedy into an opportunity to come together and create something even better.

Overall, I think this article highlights the power of community and how important it is to support each other during tough times. It’s easy to give up and feel defeated when faced with a disaster, but Clendenin shows that with some hard work and dedication, anything is possible.
