‘If there’s a tornado on the ground, what do we do?’ Oklahoma family makes severe weather preparedness song

So, I read this really interesting article about an Oklahoma family that made a song to help people prepare for severe weather, specifically tornadoes. Growing up in the Midwest, I have always been taught to take tornado warnings seriously, but I never thought about how a catchy song could help make the information more memorable.

The article explains that the song, called “Watch the Sky,” was written by the Brown family, who have experienced multiple tornadoes firsthand. The lyrics go through the steps of what to do in case of a tornado, such as finding shelter and staying away from windows. It’s amazing to see how something creative like a song can help spread important information.

While I personally haven’t experienced a tornado, I have definitely been through some intense thunderstorms that have caused power outages and damage to my hometown. Having a plan in place and knowing what to do can make a huge difference in staying safe during severe weather.

Overall, I think it’s important for everyone to be prepared for severe weather, especially in areas where tornadoes are more common. The Brown family’s song is a great example of how we can use creativity to spread important information and keep ourselves and our loved ones safe. Stay safe out there!
