Man fined for flying drone near World War Two Hurricane aircraft

So, I was reading this crazy article about a guy who got fined for flying his drone too close to a historic World War Two aircraft. Apparently, the man was flying his drone near a Hurricane aircraft at the Biggin Hill Airshow and got caught by the authorities. They fined him £181 because he breached the restricted airspace and could have caused a dangerous situation for the aircraft and the audience.

I found it pretty interesting because I didn’t even know there were strict rules for flying drones near historic planes. I have a friend who’s really into drones and takes amazing aerial photos with his, so now I wonder if he knows about these restrictions.

Anyway, the article goes into more detail about the incident, but the bottom line is that this guy made a mistake, and it serves as a reminder that there are rules in place for a reason. The authorities have to take these things seriously because, in the wrong hands, drones can be dangerous. Especially near an event like an airshow where people are gathered to enjoy the planes.

All in all, this article was a good reminder to always check for restrictions before flying a drone, even if you think it’s just harmless fun. It’s also interesting to think about the measures in place to protect historic planes like the Hurricane, which played such an important role in World War Two.
