Marjorie Taylor Greene stuns experts with scientifically illiterate rant on climate change

I just read this crazy article about Marjorie Taylor Greene, and I can’t believe some of the things she said. Basically, she went on this rant about climate change and how it’s all a hoax. And the worst part? She doesn’t even have a basic understanding of science!

So, here’s the run-down: Greene, who’s a Republican representative from Georgia, gave a speech in which she claimed that the sun is the main driver of climate change, not humans. She also argued that there’s no concrete evidence that humans are contributing to global warming, and that carbon dioxide is actually good for the environment.

Now, I’m certainly no expert on climate change, but even I know that all of that is completely backward. There’s a ton of scientific evidence that proves that human activity is directly causing global warming, and that carbon dioxide is a greenhouse gas that traps heat and contributes to climate change. It’s pretty scary to think that someone who’s supposed to be making important decisions for our country doesn’t even understand these basic facts.

But beyond Greene’s specific comments, this article is just another reminder of the ongoing battle we face against climate denialism. Despite mountains of research and evidence, there are still people out there who refuse to believe that climate change is real or a threat. And unfortunately, some of those people hold positions of power in our government.

All in all, this article serves as a reminder that we can’t take our environment for granted. We need to continue educating ourselves on the science of climate change, and pushing for policies and leaders who take these issues seriously. Because if we don’t act now, we’re pretty much screwed.
