Marjorie Taylor Greene: They Didn't Raise Taxes to Combat Climate Change In the Ice Age

So, I just read this article titled “Marjorie Taylor Greene: They Didn’t Raise Taxes to Combat Climate Change in the Ice Age” and I have to say, it’s pretty wild. Basically, this congresswoman from Georgia made some pretty outlandish statements about climate change in a speech on the House floor.

She argued that because we’re not experiencing another Ice Age right now, there’s no reason to believe that humans are causing global warming. Apparently, she thinks that if taxes were the solution to combating climate change, then they should have worked during the Ice Age. Um, what?

Now, I know Marjorie Taylor Greene is known for her controversial views and statements, but this one really takes the cake. It’s frustrating to see someone in a position of power deny the overwhelming scientific evidence that supports climate change.

The fact is, climate change is real and it’s happening right now. Rising temperatures, more frequent natural disasters, and melting ice caps are just a few examples of the damage it’s causing. And while taxes may not be the sole solution, they can certainly play a role in funding programs to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and promote renewable energy sources.

Overall, this article highlights the dangers of choosing to ignore science in favor of unsupported claims. We need leaders who are willing to acknowledge the reality of climate change and take action to mitigate its impacts.
